20 Nov What is industrial photography?
Industrial Photography is a type of photography which is used by companies or brands in order to connect with their customers and clients by showing them the technologies, machines and other processes which are involved in making of your product. Photos taken are then used to upload on the company’s websites and in marketing collateral like magazines, brochures, advertisements and other social media platforms. It is common in various industries like construction, manufacturing, energy, mining and transportation. Few examples of the subjects that are included in this photography are assembly lines, factories, workers, action of tools and workings of machines.
Now let’s know more about the types of industrial photography.
Types of Industrial Photography:
Architectural Photography : The term “architecture photography” refers to the industrial photography that focuses on structures and mainly contains both the outer and inner photos of buildings, bridges and other structures. Opinion of people about your company is highly influenced by photos of the location where you are making their products.
Professional Headshots: Professional headshots are a type of portrait photography which are used for websites, press releases, publications, and social-media profiles. The term “headshot” means that the portrait photo is cropped somewhere in the middle of the body so that the focus is on your face. Photos which show how your employees work do attract clients and customers.
On-Location Photography: Finally, on-location photography gives your audience a sneak peek into how you actually operate inside the factories. Customers love to see your employees in action. It gives them comfort to see how, with what and where all the process is taking place. When you present the real photos in front of the audience they get assured that you do care about the quality of the product and ultimately about them.
Product Photography: Potential customers do research through a variety of outlets, including online, in print, at trade shows before buying anything. They will be automatically attracted to the companies that make their products look good no matter your company is very big or small.
Hence, in order to increase your sales, build brand value and enhancing the image of the company, industrial photography plays an important role.
